AlphaStar Fall Physics Courses are a unique opportunity for interested and talented students to prepare for physics olympiads. It is focused on the F=ma Exam and consists of an accelerated coverage of topics and special problem-solving techniques.


A scientific calculator is required and preferred over a graphing calculator.

Levels and Courses

Below is a short description of each level. For more details and diagnostic exams, please

click for details.

F=ma Basic

The F = ma Basic course introduces the student to physics. The mechanics topics required for the F = ma Exam will be taught from a beginner level. Any math topics needed beyond Algebra 1 will also be taught from the beginner level.

F=ma Advanced

The F = ma Advanced/AP Physics 1 course introduces the more matured student to physics. All mechanics topics required for the F = ma Exam will be taught from an experienced beginner level. Math topics needed beyond Algebra 2 will be taught, including basic trigonometry.

Physics Program

AlphaStar Physics Program has year-round courses and winter/summer camps. The program aims to train students toward the F=ma Exam and the USA Physics Olympiad (USAPhO). For more information on these exams please visit American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) Website.


AlphaStar Academy mainly considers teaching, competition, and education background as well as passion and dedication for the subject when hiring full-time and part-time teachers.
We hire our instructors and TAs from a pool of High School, College, Ph.D. students, school teachers, and University Professors. Our faculty have teaching/coaching/tutoring experience and have expertise in the subject area, regardless of their age.
They have participation and/or training experience in national/international math competitions and Olympiads in Math, CS, and Physics such as USAMO, USACO, USAPhO, IMO, IOI, and IPhO.
They are role models and inspiration for students with their backgrounds and achievements.
