AlphaStar Academy is a test center for the prestigious Canadian Open Mathematics Challenge (COMC) competition.
Contest Format
The contest is 150-minutes with 12 problems. Students will take the contest in person, on paper at AlphaStar Academy Cupertino Campus (1072 S De Anza Blvd B206 San Jose CA 95129) at the designated date and time.

The names of top performing participants may be recognized by COMC.
What grade levels can write the contest?
- Students who haven’t finished secondary school. In the North American education system that means 12th grade and below.
- COMC is primarily considered a high school math competition, students of all grade levels are eligible to participate. We recommend reviewing past competition problems at https://cms.math.ca/competitions/#comcArchive before registering the contest.
