AlphaStar Online Winter Camp 2020
|
|
AlphaStar Online Winter Camp will be held between December 26-31, and will give students an opportunity to excel in their levels and problem-solving skills in a short time during the winter break.
|
|
|
|
There are two types of camp to choose from:
|

|
Contest BOOSTER Courses for the upcoming contests.
|
|
|
|
Accelerated Subject Courses give a chance to take some of the courses offered during Fall/Summer term.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
COURSE AVAILABILITY
|
|
Please click here to see course availability. Once the course becomes full, there will be an “Interest List” option available for interested parents. Depending on teacher availability, AlphaStar Academy might open additional sections based on “Interest List” numbers, afterwards.

Recently aligned curriculum and material: With the recent changes in USA Computing Olympiad contests, AlphaStar courses are
re-aligned with USACO levels including topics and the material is now up-to-date with most recent USACO problems.

Self Study Self-study class students will have access to recorded sessions from a past or current live class.

Math
|
|
|
Subject Courses: The Math Curriculum at each level has four subject course offerings: Algebra, Counting, Geometry, and Number Theory.
|
|
|
|
Flexible Schedule: We are offering all the subjects in Fall, spring and summer time. Students can take one or more courses depending on their schedules.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
For example, a student can take two subject courses in Fall, remaining two in Spring to complete a level. Please check below for course load and other detail.
|
|
|
Live: Each course has 12 chapters. A chapter will be covered weekly in a 90-minute live session.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Self-study: Self-study class students will have access to recorded sessions from a past or current live class.
|
|
|
|
For each chapter, students are encouraged to work an additional 1 hour to review the material and complete the weekly assignments However, there is no deadline for assignments, hence the students can complete them whenever they want during the 1 year time after the course enrollment.
|
|
|
|
|
Exercise (Homework) Review: During the Live Classes, the Instructor will also review some of the Exercise (Homework) Problems.
|
|
|
|
|
|
ALL ALPHASTAR COURSES ARE ACCESSIBLE FOR 1 YEAR

Official AMC 10/12 Tests and
AlphaStar Mock Exams
|
|
|
|
|
|
Official AMC 10 & 12 will be held on February 4th and February 10th, 2021. AlphaStar Academy is registered as one of the test centers. Students can take the exam at home with a parent proctoring.
|
|
|
Practice before the official AMC & AIME
|
|
AlphaStar Academy is offering AMC 10 & AIME Online MOCK Exam Courses for practice before the official competitions. The exams have similar difficulty and style as in the official exams with new problems. For more information and registration please check the following links:

Berkeley Math Tournament was held online on October 3rd and 4th with more than 200 teams and 1000 students participating.
