AlphaStar Online Winter Camp 2020
|
|
AlphaStar Online Winter Camp registration is now OPEN! All camp courses will be offered between December 26-31, and will give students an opportunity to excel in their levels and problem-solving skills in a short time during the winter break.
|
|

There are two types of camp to choose from:
|

Contest BOOSTER Courses for the upcoming contests.
|
|
|
|
Accelerated Subject Courses give a chance to take some of the courses offered during Fall/Summer term.
|
|
|
|
|

Each camp has a limited space and the registration is on a first come first serve basis.

AMC 8 Test Center and AlphaStar Mock Exams
|
|
|
|
 |
|
AMC 8 will be held on November 10th, 2020. AlphaStar Academy is registered as one of the test centers. Students can take the exam at home with a parent proctoring.
Practice before the official AMC 8 & 10, AIME
AlphaStar Academy is offering AMC 8 & 10, AIME Online MOCK Exam Courses for practice before the official competitions. The exams have similar difficulty and style as in the official exams with brand new problems. For more information and registration please check the following links:

US Team with 3 Gold & 1 Silver Medal at IOI 2020
|
|
Congratulations to the members of the 2020 USA team: William Lin (perfect score), Walden Yan (AlphaStar faculty), Xinyang (Alan) Chen and Danny Mittal. They got three gold and a silver medal respectively at the International Olympiads in Informatics (IOI) that was organized online on September 13-19 by Singapore.

IMO 2020 Results
|
|
61st International Math Olympiads was held virtually this year between September 20th and 28th. More than 600 students participated representing 105 countries. The USA team, coached by Professor Po-Shen Loh, was ranked 3rd place after China and Russia. From the USA team, Luke Robitaille, William Wang, and Quanlin Chen got Gold medals while Tianze Jiang, Gopal Goel and Jeffrey Kwan (AlphaStar Academy alumnus) got Silver medals.

Google Code Jam World Finals 2020 Results
|
|
Google Code Jam World Finals this year were held online for the first time on August 8. Among the Top 25 finalists, Gennady Korotkevich became the winner for the seventh time. AlphaStar Alumni Andrew He ranked 3rd in the competition again this year.
Code Jam is Google’s worldwide problem solving competition with a qualification round and three elimination rounds before the world finals. In 2020, more than 35,000 people competed in the competition which includes many former computing olympiad participants and medalists.
